PLE Supplemental: Server Virtualization Environments

One of the biggest problems we encountered in our labs is problems with the virtualization environment. Windows XP is not the optimal OS for implementing virtualization. Read the article and be prepared to consider implementing the PLE in a native Linux environment. SLES11 includes its own native installation if VMWARE as well as Hypervisor tools. Consider implementing both the Domain and cluster in a mixed environment Linux / Windows using different types of virtualization.

Cloud computing is the future (at least for the next 5-10 years anyway). Cloud computing is the hottest networking trend in the industry, and understanding and being able to implent cloud computing is going to be a skill that is in high demand in the the job marketing you’ll be a part of in your career.
